NZPI - Nancy Northcroft Supreme Practice Award 2017

Andrew Willis / Planning Matters has won the following awards:\

NZPI Best Practice Award 2012 for the draft Central City Recovery Plan:  Andrew led the team that developed the district plan rules to enable the recovery of the central city that was damaged by the 2010 / 2011 Canterbury earthquakes.  The Plan won an NZPI Best Practice award.

 

 

 

 

NZPI - Best Practice Strategic Planning and Guidance Award - 2017

 

 

NZPI Best Practice Award 2017, and Nancy Northcroft Supreme Practice Award 2017 for the draft Waimakariri Residential Red Zone Recovery Plan:  Working for the Waimakariri District Council, Andrew anchored the development and drafting of this recovery plan for the town of Kaiapoi in north Canterbury that suffered significant damage in the 2010 earthquake.  The plan identified activities for approximately 100 hectares or land.  In addition to winning a best practice award, this Plan was also judged the  overall supreme winner for 2017.

 

NZPI - Distinguished Service Award - 2017

Distinguished Service Award 2017: Andrew was awarded the DSA for his significant contribution to the field of planning to the affairs of the institute.   Andrew is one of the youngest winners of this national award.

 

 

 

 

 

SOLGM Best Practice and Supreme Winner Awards 2017 for the draft Waimakariri Residential Red Zone Recovery Plan: this project was also awarded the SOLGM 2017 Innovation in Council Community Relations award and the Supreme Award.
